I have wondering this when I first started. When you check on big bloggers or let’s say big money makers that are making thousands with Google Adsense, Affiliate marketing, PPC, etc.. Most of them live in USA, UK & Canada. So the question that I have been asked many times is why there is no international members living in third-world are earning that much? So let’s see some analysis:
English language is not perfect like those from USA, UK and Canada: I can say that may be international style writting is not good or may be some grammar error?. There is a possibility that some people have the knowledge of certain niches but their english sucks and no one will read them.
Not working hard: I don’t believe that, I know many international webmasters working very hard with their online business and I mean international members those from third world (I am one of them).
Affiliate Networks: When I first started the only affiliate network that accepted my application was Commission Junction. But then when applying to affiliate programs inside CJ there were a lot of denied applications because my account was registered under a third-world country. Then you see me explaining to them that my bank accounts are there but my sites was getting 90% from USA traffic. After few years, finally affiliate managers accepted that issue and they were checking the traffic of the site and not the account holder.
International member = Stealing People Commission I have read many horror stories that affiliate managers are stealing not counting their commissions as it should be. One example is from Google Adsense:
My website had its own adsense account for 2.5 years with my home address (somewhere in Europe) until mid-last year when I moved to the UK.
I created a new adsense account with a UK address (payee name exactly the same as before), put the new adsense script in and made NO other changes to the website. In fact, the website stayed exactly the same for the last 4 years! I never set any geo-targetting anywhere, don’t even know where to do that.
Result? The website now earns about 40% more than before the move (and that’s happened consistently for the last 8 months compared to the previous 8 months).
The exact same scenario happened with another website I own, moved at the same time. It’s earning consistently more than before the move with no other changes, though the increase is more like 10-15% more than before.
Can someone explain?
I can’t explain this but if that’s true what about affiliate networks and CPA companies? Now my question is if you are an affiliate manager, do you treat your international members (third-world) as equal as other members? If you say, that you treat all people equal. Is not true.
Here is another member saying the same with Google Adsense:
Let me share my own experience. I moved to UK 8 months ago before this my earning was extremely low and traffic was bit higher than comparing to now. After switching adsense account my revenue increased up to 60%. My sites are hosted in US, all I replaced is adsense code more specifically publisher id and channels rest 100% is same as it was before.
It appears google treats publishers on a regional basis.
So International Members can make money online? Totally YES, but it seems that is more difficult to make money online as an international member from third-world than those that live in US, Canada and UK. I will invite you as an international member to learn how to make money online with me. I will try to post every month some earning statistics with this blog.
